We all just want to be happy and live a fulfilling life, but it can be difficult in a world where there is so much distraction and we are focused more on the outside world as suppose to our inner world. Even though life has its ups and downs (which is completely normal) we are capable of living our own best life. Plan & Prioritize

The reason why planning and prioritizing is so important to live your best life is because it will diminish your stress levels and make you feel more at ease. By prioritizing, you focus on what’s most important in your life instead of wasting time on things that aren’t nearly as important.

What can help you to focus on what’s truly important in your life is to get rid of distraction. Do your best to block out distractions and get your priorities done first.

Instead of distracting yourself, plan out your days and get things done. Of course, you should still take breaks and have your ‘me time’ if you need it. Just don’t let unimportant things consume you and then realize that you didn’t complete what you had to achieve. Your days will go by smoothly and you will feel more productive.

You can start by planning out your priorities for the day. You can write down your top 3 priorities for the day, you can either do this the night before or the day of. I usually write it down the night before, so I don’t forget the following day. But you can do what works best for you! Just make sure to write the three tasks that will make you feel satisfied at the end of the day.

Priorities always change throughout our life. So adjust your priorities accordingly and use your time wisely.

Take Care Of Your Health

Health is so important, without it; you can’t do what we would normally do in our daily lives. Don’t ever take your health for granted, instead try your best to improve it. Improving your health makes you feel vital and more energized throughout the day.

You need to feel good and energized to live life to the fullest. Without energy, you won’t get much done. Make sure to sleep enough hours, drink plenty of water, eat healthy foods that energize you, stay active by walking, running, stretching, and also deep breathing is crucial to feel good and energized. Do whatever helps you feel healthy and vital!

Work Smarter, Not Harder

If you just work and work, at some point you will feel tired and drained. Whatever you work in, you need to learn to work smarter, not harder. By working smarter you get back more time in your day, and you learn to get things done faster and more efficiently.

You will stand out from the rest that is so busy working hard and getting nowhere. People that work smarter take time off for themselves. They reward themselves when they accomplish something because that keeps them motivated. They take care of their health and family. They learn to say no, because accepting everything that comes their way would overwhelm them. They set their priorities and get them done.

Something that can help is to get a productivity planner likethis one. I use it andmy productivity has improved tremendously. Making me feel accomplished at the end of the day, which is a great feeling.

Practice Daily Self-Care

Self-care is necessary for our overall wellbeing. Make sure to take some time daily to do something for you. Even if it’s something as simple as:

  • Cozying up reading your favorite book
  • Writing in your journal
  • Taking a bubble bath
  • Walking in nature or at the beach
  • Going out with a friend and catching up
  • Taking a much-needed nap

The whole point of practicing self-care is to do something you enjoy that will help you relax, and wind down. You won’t feel truly fulfilled if you are constantly busy all the time. Let self-care become one of your priorities and make it a daily habit, so you avoid burnout and stress. By taking care of yourself you are not only benefiting yourself, but you will benefit those around you.

Express Gratitude Daily

Gratitude is feeling appreciation so deep in your heart for all the beautiful blessings you have in your life. Gratitude has the power of transforming your whole life. It can change the way you view yourself, your friendships, your family, your marriage and the way you view life. It’s a very important habit to practice if you want to increase your happiness and feel satisfied with your life. Many people might already know this but still not put it into practice.

There are so many benefits of gratitude. For example:
  • Increases happiness
  • Improves your health & immune system
  • Improves sleep
  • Improves your self-esteem
  • Increases mental strength
  • Heightens your quality of life
  • Reduces stress
  • Increases your energy levels
  • Helps you feel positive and optimistic
  • Helps you feel satisfied with your life

A way to practice gratitude is by having a gratitude journal. Or you can write it down on your phone, computer, or an actual journal.

To make feeling grateful a habit, everyday writeat least 3 or more things you are grateful for andwhy you are grateful for them in detail. Even if it’s just for 5 minutes a day, it can make a tremendous positive impact on your day and your life.

Once you are done writing, read it to yourself. Don’t just simply read them butfeelthe gratitude for each one of those blessings. The key is tofeelgrateful! You won’t see results just by thinking about gratitude. The positive shift comes fromfeelingthe gratitudein your heart.

It’s easier to be grateful when your life is going great but it’s even more important to practice gratitude when life isn’t going well. That way it will give you hope and help you stay motivated to keep going. It will make you see how you still have so many blessingsregardless of the hardship you might be going through.

Continue To Learn And Grow

I love reading books, articles, watching videos, and taking online courses to continue learning and growing as a person. Whatever you are passionate about, make time to learn more about it and continue to learn and educate yourself about that topic. There are so many free resources now online that you can take advantage of. Learning doesn’t have to be boring especially if you learn about things you are passionate about.

By learning new things, you will not only grow as a person, but it will help you better your entire life!

Stop Overthinking

Last but not least is to stop overthinking. We can’t control what goes on in life, but we can control our thoughts. Overthinking usually creates a problem in our mind that doesn’t even exist in real life.
